Have you discovered "Stumble Upon" yet???

My Ode to SU
(With Due Apologies to Paul & Art)

Chorus:
keep stumbling away, keep stumbling away
You know the nearer your deadline, the more you keep stumbling away

Whoah and I know a man, he came from my hometown
He wore his passion for the internet like a thorny crown
He said Stumbler... I live in fear
My love for SU is so overpowering, I'm afraid that I will disappear

Chorus

I know a woman, (who) became a wife
These are the very words she uses to describe her life
She said a good day ain't got no meetings
She said a bad day is when I lie in the bed
And I think of things that might have been
instead of sleeping I should have been stumbling away

Chorus

And I know a father who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons for the things he'd done
He came a long way just to explain
only to see his boy could not talk as he was too busy stumblin'
So he went home and started stumbling again

Chorus

Whoah God only knows, God makes his plan
The information's available to the stumbling man
We're workin' our jobs, collect our pay
Believe we're gliding down the e- highway, when in fact we're just stumbling away

Chorus repeats 2x

What is my Life Past Number?

Your Life Path Number is 9

Your purpose in life is to make the world better
You are very socially conscious and a total idealist.
You think there are many things wrong with the world, and you want to fix them.
You have a big idea of how to world could be, and you'll sacrifice almost anything to work towards this dream.
In love, you can easily see the beauty in someone else. And you never cling too tightly.
You are capable of great love, but it's hard for you to focus your love on one person or relationship.

You have a lot of outward focus, and you tend to blame the world for your failures.

You are often disappointed by the realities of life - it's hard for you to accept the shortcomings of the world.

Adventures in setting up a blog part III

Finally managed to get a better blog counter which actually counts unique visitors instead of page hits...maybe my next change will be to incorporate both unique visitors as well as total page hits.

Hmmm....choices...choices...choices!!!

I should be more selfish...or should I?

You Are 42% Selfish

You are quite balanced. You are able to compromise when it's in the best interests of those involved.
But you're no pushover. If something is important to you, you'll get it!

Busy...Busy...Busy

Having really busy days and nights since I posted last...at this point in time, I have so much to do that at times the only way I can tune out is by tuning in to music and either blogging or stumbling. So I figured that I would do a bit of both and then get back to what I have on my plate.

Ever wondered why a day only has 24 hours and one has to sleep at least 6-8 hours of them? I have a lot of times. Right now is one of them.

Here is my list of stuff to do yesterday:

a) Set up my new iPod Nano
b) Look up the difference between digital and analog cameras(SLR) and decide which one to buy
c) Tinker with this blog's settings
d) Check out a lot of pages on the internet which I have downloaded and stumbled upon
e) Read at least 5 magazines which I bought in the last week
f) Set up my new iPod Nano
g) Download some music from the net
h) Rip some of my CD's to my hard disk
i) Start my morning walks and exercises
j) Lose some weight
k) Set up my new iPod Nano
l) Finish reading at least 8 books which I bought a month ago
m) Answer emails of bloggers and stumblers who I am in touch with
n) Read the last 3 days newspapers
o) Answer my personal and work related emails
p) Set up my new iPod Nano

So...I guess that I will set up my new iPod Nano. As you can guess...I am a bit excited about it
:)

Check out this cool advert about firefox...it is going to really make IE explode in no time.

If you haven't got it yet, then click on the button on my sidebar and get it...you wont regret it.

Funny Video

Check it out...

What sort of a writer should I be?

Fits me to a t :)

You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer

Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from.

And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi.

Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics...

Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!

Adventures in setting up a blog part II

Got a simple free blog counter for the moment and activated it. The only problem seems to be that my own page views are being counted as a hit and there is an irritating promotional link at the bottom. Oh well...I guess that if it is free, have to consider the fact that they have to earn money too.

Also I got Clustrmaps from another fellow blogger (bloggie? Anybody know the feminine gender of a blogger?) and it is supposed to generate automaps of visitors.

Will update my blog with some more tools and do some structural changes shortly.

Adventures in setting up a blog part I

Spent quite a bit of time playing around with setting up this blog. Chose a standard template, then played around a bit with the HTML. Have added a button on the side which will allow visitors to put their location on the map. Then signed up with Google Adsense and Google Adwords which will allow visitors to do their google searches on this page itself. Finally, I am a big follower of firefox which is the best web browser in the world right now, regardless of what Microsoft may think. If you haven't checked out firefox yet, do click on the button on the left sidebar and get it.

Will do a bit more of tinkering over the weekend and then will start posting in earnest from monday. For visitors to this blog...feel free to browse around and leave your comments. Your feedback is much appreciated.

Quotes by Richard Bach

Richard Bach's Quotes

You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self.

Don't turn away from possible futures before you're certain
you don't have anything to learn from them.

You're always free to change your mind
and choose a different future, or a different past.

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours.

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself.
Being true to anyone else or anything else is not only impossible, but the mark of a false messiah.

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

The simplest questions are the most profound.

Where were you born?
Where is your home?
Where are you going?
What are you doing?

Think about these once in awhile, and watch your answers change.

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

You are never given a wish without being given
the power to make it true.

You may have to work for it, however.

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

Every person, all the events of your life, are there because you have drawn them there.

What you choose to do with them is up to you.

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

Your friends will know you better in the first minute you meet than your acquaintances will know you in a thousand years.

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

A cloud does not know why it moves in just such a direction and at such a speed, it feels an impulsion....this is the place to go now.

But the sky knows the reason and the patterns behind all clouds, and you will know, too, when you lift yourself high enough to see beyond horizons..

- from "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

The gulls who scorn perfection for the sake of travel go nowhere, slowly.
Those who put aside travel for the sake of perfection go anywhere, instantly.

- from "Jonathan Livingston Seagull"

For most gulls, it is not flying that matters, but eating.
For this gull, though, it was not eating that mattered, but flight.

- from "Jonathan Livingston Seagull"

If our friendship depends on things like space and time, then when we finally overcome space and time, we've destroyed our own brotherhood! But overcome space, and all we have left is Here. Overcome time, and all we have left is Now. And in the middle of Here and Now, don't you think that we might see each other once or twice?

- from "Jonathan Livingston Seagull"

The gulls who scorn perfection for the sake of travel go nowhere, slowly. Those who put aside travel for the sake of perfection go anywhere, instantly.

- from "Jonathan Livingston Seagull"

That's what learning is, after all; not whether we lose the game, but how we lose and how we've changed because of it and what we take away from it that we never had before, to apply to other games. Losing, in a curious way, is winning.

- from "The Bridge Across Forever"

We're the bridge across forever, arching above the sea, adventuring for our pleasure, living mysteries for the fun of it, choosing disasters triumphs challenges impossible odds, testing ourselves over and again, learning love and love and LOVE!

- from "The Bridge Across Forever"

If it's never our fault, we can't take responsibility for it.
If we can't take responsibility for it, we'll always be its victim.

- from "Running From Safety"

Can miles truly separate us from friends?
If you want to be with Rae, aren't you already there?

- from "There' No Such Place As Far Away"

You have no birthday because you have always lived; you were never born, and never will die. You are not the child of the people you call mother and father, but their fellow-adventurer on a bright journey to understand the things that are.

- from "There' No Such Place As Far Away"

Fly free and happy beyond birthdays and across forever, and we'll meet now and then when we wish, in the midst of the one celebration that never can end.

- from "There' No Such Place As Far Away"

Nothing happens by chance, my friend... No such thing as luck. A meaning behind every little thing, and such a meaning behind this. Part for you, part for me, may not see it all real clear right now, but we will, before long.

- from "Nothing By Chance"
